cw.pub is published by Spicerack Incorporated, and the company decides what it hosts. This page is short because there is very little machinery behind it, and saying otherwise would be a promise cw could not keep.
What cw.pub is for
Crosswords you constructed, published to the tier you chose for them. That is the whole of it.
What does not belong here
Somebody else's puzzle published as your own.
Puzzles from newspapers and syndicates. They are copyrighted whoever typed them in, and cw.pub will not host them.
Anything whose publication would be unlawful.
Clues or fill written to harass a particular person.
A puzzle's copyright is its constructor's
cw has never filled in a Copyright: line for you and is not going to start. That line names whoever constructed the puzzle.
The copyright in the software is Spicerack Incorporated's. The two are different things, and cw keeps them apart on purpose.
Writing to cw
abuse@cw.pub reaches Spicerack Incorporated. Write to it about anything on this page.
It is an address and not a procedure. cw runs no formal complaints route, keeps no queue, and works to no timetable — and this page will not pretend to any of them, because a promise of machinery that does not exist is worse to the person relying on it than saying so.
Hosting ends at the publisher's discretion
Spicerack Incorporated can stop hosting a puzzle, or end an account's use of cw.pub, at its own discretion, at any time, and without saying why.
cw being offline-first is what makes that bearable: your library is on your own disk, every puzzle exports to plain text, and none of your work lives here.
